It is very known, that some cleaning supplies have toxic chemicals in them. Many people say that toxic chemicals can be even worse when they are mixed. The chemicals involved when cleaning can be very strong and can produce different mild symptoms. I am going to share with you my tips and tricks to avoiding the problems that can come with the chemicals involved in the supplies.
Some products release dangerous chemicals, including volatile organic compounds. Other harmful ingredients include ammonia and bleach. Even natural fragrances such as citrus can react to produce dangerous pollutants indoors. Some products to look out for in cleaning supplies are Perchloroethylene, Formaldehyde, 2-Butoxyethanol, Ammonia, Sodium Hydroxide, and Chlorine. These chemicals, along with many others, can be very dangerous. Some of these products are almost impossible to work around, so I am going to give you some tricks to help you stay safe.
There are a couple of ways to avoid or lessen the chances of being affected by toxic chemicals. One way is to open a window around the area that you are cleaning, or turn on a fan. This just helps move the air around, so that the chemicals aren't just sitting there for you to inhale. Another way that some cleaning professionals do is wear a mask. Wearing a mask helps the person not breathe the chemicals directly, making it safer. The last thing you could do is wear gloves, to not only help protect your hands from the bleach and chemicals but also help reassure that you don’t touch your eyes or mouth with chemicals on your hands.

Showing how dangerous certain cleaning products and chemicals are in this day and age is extremely important. With the included examples of different chemicals to watch out for and avoid, the obvious danger from them was emphasized. I believe that also explaining some of the symptoms and ways to protect yourself from these cleaners was very informative because it gives people an idea of what to do if they use some of these chemicals. This information can also help a person to detect signs and symptoms caused by the chemicals so that they can avoid further exposure.
